How To Copy This DVD on Macintosh

Copying the DVD requires a DVD burner and DVD burning software on your computer. Macintosh OSX has DVD burning software included in the operating system. Directions for the appropriate version of operating systems are listed below. If you have DVD burning software from a third-party, please refer to your owners manual to help you make a copy of the DVD.

Note: These procedures will not work with copy protected DVD-video discs.

For Mac OS X 10.3 or later

  1. Insert the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD into the SuperDrive.
  2. Open the Disk Utility application. It's in the Utilities folder, which is in your Applications folder (or choose Utilities from the Finder's Go menu).
  3. Select the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD (not just the disc session) from the listing.



  4. From the Images menu, choose New and the choose Image from "Learn To Ride A Skateboard". (Mac OS X 10.4 and later: From the File menu, choose New and the choose Image from "Learn To Ride A Skateboard").
  5. Type a file name and choose "DVD/CD Master" from the Image Format pop-up menu.
  6. Click the Save button. After the image has been created you should see it in the disk listing in the Disk Utility window.
  7. Eject the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD.
  8. Select the disk image you created from the listing.
  9. Click the Burn icon in the toolbar.


    Later versions of Disk Utility will use the ".cdr" extension instead of ".dmg"

  10. When prompted, insert a blank DVD-R disc.
  11. Click the Burn button.

For Mac OS X 10.2 through 10.2.8

  1. Insert the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD into the SuperDrive.
  2. Open the Disk Copy application (/Applications/Utilities).
  3. From the File menu, choose New and then choose Image from Device.
  4. Select the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD from the listing.
  5. Type a file name and choose "DVD/CD Master" from the Image Format pop-up menu.
  6. Click the Save button.
  7. After the image has been created, eject the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD.
  8. From the File menu, choose Burn Image.
  9. Select the image you just created.
  10. Click the Burn button.
  11. When prompted, insert a blank DVD-R disc.
  12. Click the Burn button.

For Mac OS X 10.0 through 10.1.5

  1. Insert the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD into the SuperDrive.
  2. Open the Disk Copy application (/Applications/Utilities).
  3. From the Image menu, choose New Image from Device.
  4. Select the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD from the listing. You may need to click the disclosure triangle next to the disc to see the DVD.



  5. Click the Image button.
  6. Type a file name and from the Image Format pop-up menu, choose DVD/CD Master.
  7. After the image has been created, eject the "Learn To Ride A Skateboard" DVD.
  8. From the Image menu, choose Burn Image.
  9. Select the image you just created.
  10. Click the Burn button.
  11. When prompted, insert a blank DVD-R disc.
  12. Click the Burn button.
